Financial Aid for Low and Middle-Income Families

Tulane is committed to making a Tulane education accessible to our admitted students, regardless of family income. Students from low to middle income families may be surprised to learn that Tulane is more affordable than our price would suggest. Among our grants and scholarships to help low- and middle-income families, Tulane offers a No Loan Assistance (NOLA) Scholarship to certain students admitted as fall first-time first-year students whose families have adjusted gross incomes less than $75,000 per year. For qualifying students, Tulane ensures that a portion of our financial aid cost of attendance (which includes tuition, fees, books, and transportation) will be met with a combination of Tulane scholarship, the family鈥檚 estimated institutional expected family contribution (EFC), and certain federal grants and/or ROTC scholarship that may be applicable. As a result, loans for these students other than for housing, meals and miscellaneous expenses should not be needed to attend Tulane.

To be fully considered for all forms of financial aid like the NOLA Scholarship above, regardless of your family income, students must complete Tulane's two required financial aid applications (the FAFSA and the CSS Profile) by February 15th.
