International Student Financial Aid

Tulane offers variety of generous need- and merit-based scholarship opportunities for international students.

Tulane offers up to $30,000 in need-based financial aid to international students who qualify and who have not already been awarded that amount or more in merit scholarships. Students must reapply for need based aid every year. To apply, you must submit a and all necessary supporting documents. It is highly recommended you do so by February 15.

All applicants are considered for partial merit scholarship by completing the Common Application for admission. To be considered for all scholarships, however, international students should complete the following 5 steps as we may evaluate both your need and merit in our awarding process:

5 Steps for Scholarship Consideration

  1. Complete the for admission.
  2. Complete the CSS Profile by our financial aid deadlines (for international students who are non-U.S. citizens, Tulane's Declaration & Certification of Finances form is satisfactory for our Academic, Service and Leadership Scholarship and general merit scholarship consideration) Complete the CSS Profile by our financial aid deadlines
  3. Complete Tulane鈥檚 Declaration & Certification of Finances
  4. Submit supporting documentation when requested by our Office of Financial Aid
  5. Complete the Tulane Scholarship Application, audition, or portfolio on your by December 5th.

In addition to the special awards below, international students may compete for all other available merit scholarships. Please contact your admission counselor for more information about scholarships.

Global Scholarship

This is a partial or full-tuition award that is renewable for 4 years (5 years for students in the 5-year Architecture program). Recipients of this award are international students with outstanding academic records.

  • Applicants in the top 20% academically (based on testing and GPA) of the applicant pool are eligible to be considered for the scholarship
  • It is suggested that you submit a complete Early Action (November 15) or Early Decision (November 1) application for admission
  • Nominations are made by the admission committee and based on your application for admission to Tulane and the Tulane Scholarship Application, submitted in your 
  • Candidates will be invited to participate in a video interview with the international admission committee by March 31

Latin American Scholar Award

This is a partial or full-cost award renewable for 4 years. It is awarded to one or more students from Latin America pursuing studies in the liberal arts or natural sciences. Typical recipients demonstrate strong academic and extracurricular credentials.

South Asian Scholar Award

This is a partial or full-tuition award that is renewable for 4 years (5 years for students in the 5-year Architecture program). Recipients of this award are students graduating from high schools in South Asia with outstanding academic records. Nominations are made by the admission committee and based on your application for admission to Tulane and the Tulane Scholarship Application, submitted in your . Sub-Saharan Africa Leadership Award

This is a full-tuition scholarship, renewable for 4 years. It is awarded to multiple full-time undergraduate students from and studying in Sub-Saharan Africa. Recipients will have strong academic and extracurricular credentials. Nominations are made by the admission committee and based on your application for admission to Tulane and the Tulane Scholarship Application, submitted in your .
