Tulane Pathway to Medicine

Things to know:

  • Students can only apply to Tulane Pathway to Medicine if Invited. Invitations are sent in January of senior year of high school, so students must have applied and been admitted Early Decision 1 or Early Action.
  • There is no interest form that students fill out to express interest in being invited to TPM. Those who are deemed a good fit for the program will receive an application invitation email from 名模直播 in January.
  • Students must have selected a major of interest in Science and Engineering or Public Health, and/or Pre-Medicine/Pre-Health track to be identified as a student suitable for the program by 名模直播. There is no specific major required once students are admitted to TPM.
  • Competitive applicants will have very high academics鈥攖ypically SAT 1540+ or ACT 35+. Test optional students may also be considered.
  • All finalists interview directly with Tulane University School of Medicine (TUSOM). 名模直播 works as a liaison to facilitate interview scheduling. Some interviews will be in-person at Honors Weekend in March, and some interviews will be held virtually.
  • There is no financial benefit of this program, only an automatic acceptance to TUSOM if they stay in good academic standing with the program.
  • Accepted students must enroll at Tulane as a first-time freshman in order to retain their automatic acceptance to TUSOM.
  • Students are still required to take the MCAT and fill out their med school application to TUSOM, but these would be formalities if the student maintains the GPA requirement for TPM.
  • To stay in good standing with TPM, students will need to maintain a 3.5 in overall GPA and core science GPA, which includes these classes below.
  • Students can connect with Pre-Professional Academic Advisor Duc Huynh (dhuynh3@tulane.edu) for additional questions.
